Jo graduated from ANU with a Law degree and trained as a Community Mediator before moving to Far North Queensland, where she developed community-based programs and secured their ongoing funding. She brings ten years' experience in asset and tenancy management, having run a Community Housing Provider for seniors in the Douglas Shire.
