Income Eligibility for Tenants
To qualify for an affordable rental through Rentwell, your household income must fall within the ACT Government’s annual limits for affordable housing
Affordable Community Housing – Household Income Limits (2026–27)
The maximum income limit is the greater of $100,000 per annum or the applicable household amount built up from the components below.

| Each child | $21,562 |
Example: two adults and two children = $64,992 + $24,865 + $21,562 + $21,562 = $132,981. As this exceeds $100,000, the household’s income limit is $132,981.
These limits are indexed annually by the ACT Government. If your income falls within these bands, you may be eligible to apply for a Rentwell property. Check to see if you meet the income and assets test.
